Professor Piotr Długosz

Habilitated Doctor of Social Sciences in the discipline of sociology. Author of seven books and approximately 150 publications in national and international journals. His research interests include youth issues on the Polish-Ukrainian border, Ukrainian students in Poland, and socio-cultural trauma in former Soviet bloc countries.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he launched the Sociological Laboratory Covid-19 and wrote a book titled The Trauma of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Polish Society. He also secured funding from NAWA for research on the effects of remote education among students in Poland and Ukraine.
He is currently conducting research on the impact of war on society, focusing on war refugees from Ukraine residing in Poland and the attitudes of Visegrád Group residents toward Ukrainian war refugees.
